the introduction of the ezGear SurfBoard
powered by Google Android. The ezGear
SurfBoard is ultra-slim and compact.
The
ezGear SurfBoard is a 7-inch Internet
Tablet computer that runs Google
Android. With its built in Wi-Fi support
and multimedia capabilities, you can use
your Android SurfBoard to browse the
internet, watch hi resolution movies,
browse pictures, or read a book. And
with Android, there are over 30,000
applications (and growing) available to
download immediately.
Google Android and More
In addition to the standard Android
tools, the ezGear SurfBoard powered by
Android includes a 2M pixel digital
photo and Digital Video Camera. The
SurfBoard can also record audio files in
WAV format. The front of the unit
includes stereo speakers and a full set
of controls including an ergonomic built
in trackball. Ergonomic buttons on the
right and left of the screen make it
easy to navigate between applications,
adjust audio volume, or control your
favorite movie. A Micro SD slot allows
you to add an additional 8GB to store
movies, music, any other files you need.
Slim and Light
The ezGear Android SurfBoard weights in
at only 17.63 ounces and is a little
more than 1/2 inch thick. With a height
under 5 inches (4.73), the ezGear
Android SurfBoard fits in the palm of
your hand. With a 7-inch wide screen and
high-resolution 800x480 pixels display,
it offers you a perfect viewing size.

The ezGear SurfBoard supports multiple
audio formats including MP3, WMA, WAV
AAC9 (Unprotected), and AC3. Movies for
the SurfBoard can be played in MPEG-4
(up to 720P), MPEG-48, WMV, M-JPEG,
MPEG-2, WMV HD (720P) and VOB formats.
Multiple photo formats are supported as
well, including: JPEG, BMP, PNG, and
TIFF. The WIFI connection for the
SurfBoard is 802.11b/g offering wireless
connections up to 54Mbps. The ezGear
SurfBoard includes interfaces for
external connections. Two USB ports are
included, an USB 2.0 and an USB OTG
port. An HDMI port is located on the
bottom of the SurfBoard. A standard 3.5
audio headphone jack is included for
privacy.
Power
The ezGear SurfBoard 7 is powered by a
rechargeable Lithium Polymer Battery.
The battery will last for up to 20 hours
for music and 9 hours for Movies. An
A/C adapter is included with the
SurfBoard to charge the unit.

The ezGear SurfBoard powered by Android
will ship with a number of partner
applications installed. Additional
partner information is available on the
ezGear website or via ezGear on
Facebook. Other Android or media
partners interested in becoming a
SurfBoard partner should contact ezGear
